Fernando Mulet

Mr. Mulet has served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer since December 2021. Previously, he served as our Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer from 2018 to 2021. Since joining Playa in 2006, Mr. Mulet has been instrumental in the Company’s growth and has played a key role in the acquisition, development and asset management of our portfolio and in the formation of our strategic alliances. Prior to joining Playa, Mr. Mulet was the Director of International Investments & Asset Management with Highland Hospitality Corporation. He began his career in the hospitality industry in 1999 at Barceló Hotels & Resorts. A native of Spain, Mr. Mulet earned his Business Administration degree at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICADE in Madrid, Spain, and earned a certification in Real Estate, Development and Hotel Investment from The School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.
